Sanders Says His Revolution Is Just Getting Started

On the contrary. Read it again. I specifically referred to biased generalities the article relied on to make its claim.
I read it again and it looks more like a tantrum than a refutation. You feel the NYP is wrong because they don't share your bias.
The United Packinghouse Workers Union? They were communist orgs? Really?
If you calling them liars you should provide evidence.

So you have no evidence, no substantive argument, nothing but accusations and personal opinions, and you're the one who is defending the article but you think I should provide evidence for doubting it???? LOL!!! You're a joke.

You said the NYP was lying. Provide evidence for your assertion. Unless you can't.

I provided a quote from Sanders praising dictator Fidel Castro.

I did? You still aren't reading very well. Let me type this slowly so you'll get it this time. I said "the NYPost is a right wing rag and relies on false information and outright lies. It's unmitigated nonsense to declare Bernie is a hard core communist."

First, if you really think Bernie is a communist and you aren't just raving, they you need more education or a shrink to help you out. Secondly, the NYP is biased and you will find no unbiased source saying Bernie is a communist.

It's interesting how you like to make a wild statement and when a person rejects it as nonsense you want proof. You don't realize it's the wild statement that needs the proof.

No cite on the post lying I see.

Hey, the title of the article is "Don’t be fooled by Bernie Sanders — he’s a diehard communist". Die-hard communists don't conceal their politics. What policies did Bernie advocate that were obviously "communist" without spinning them? None.
The article talks about Bernie's connections (if there really are any) with the United Packinghouse Workers Union. It says "Rewind to 1964" ... "He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union". But that union was organized in 1943. http://kingencyclopedia.stanford.ed...ckinghouse_workers_of_america_upwa/index.html
That makes the article a lie.
And The Encyclopedia Britannica mentions nothing about the union president being a communist. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Ralph-Helstein#ref251186
Fail. Fail. Fail.

Ok, so the article actually says "He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union", --not that he organized them. But it was a union and not a "communist front". Find me a reliable, unbiased article that documents it as a "communist front". Problem is that to any self-respecting right wing extremist lying rag or person, any workers union qualifies as a "communist front". And that is mere extremist bias. They want corporations to have government, corporate laws, corporate attorneys, corporate lobbyists, corporate PACs, the A.L.E.C., and other organizations supporting and protecting corporations and business in general (biggest corporations first), but they don't want the other class. --workers, --to have any organization. Divide and conquer. Ya know? So they quickly call a workers' union a "communist front" as part of their extremist, biased strategy.

It says the Union was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities. But that committee, which has been described as a "Joseph McCarthy-type committee" was investigating all unions and looking under beds for communists. So if there was any such investigation of the Union, it means nothing until we see the findings of that investigation. Or does the right now advocate "guilty until proven innocent"?

The article goes on to say "Sanders moved to Vermont, where he headed the American People’s History Society, an organ for Marxist propaganda." But try to find any reliable information on the Society and what it was. The article doesn't bother to provide any links or even references to back its claim.

Next, it says "In the early ’70s, Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies."

Nationalization of the most important power and service in the nation, the banking industry, and the takeover of utility companies is something just about all genuine socialists advocate including myself. I've advocated it for many years, but I staunchly oppose communism. It failed and for good reason. A socialist is not a communist. In fact I challenge anyone to find a person outside of the whacky CPUSA who today advocates communism. It's over. And as I've shown, the NYP is a liar. They published a smear article that has been repeated in whole by a number of other right wing extremist rags and not by any reliable, balanced and objective publication.

Well good for you ! A cite !
But the king one does say

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the U.S. Congress accused the UPWA of being a Communist dominated organization.

Seems inconclusive.

huh?

"But the king one does say"????? Actually the queen one had when it was not a common thread. Kapiche? No, huh? Yeah, neither do I.

I agree: inconclusive.

.....

(Later) .....
Oh! Ok! I get it! I looked up "Congress accused the UPWA of being a Communist" and I found what you must be referring to in your cryptic style: a "Martin Luther King Encyclopedia" article. I didn't know about them. It says in whole:
"In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the U.S. Congress accused the UPWA of being a Communist dominated organization. The union set up a Public Advisory Review Commission to oversee the UPWA’s ("their own") compliance with the AFL-CIO's Ethical Practices Code, which banned Communists from holding union offices and prohibited the union from adopting communist doctrine."

I'm not so sure that is "inconclusive"!! I think it helps discredit the NYP article further.

It proves there was high level concern but congress was seeing commies everywhere. Still, while not everywhere, there were more than a few and they got better about concealing it.

Silly statement.

Lol Of course organizing new members continues throughout the life of a union.

Wow, you are really bad at debating.

Sure.

Quote about the United Packinghouse Workers from the Congressional investigation:

Mr. Stripling. Did the Communists eventually take over the leader-
ship?

Mr. Williams. Yes ; they did. In 1943, as early as February, at our
first convention to establish the international union, the Communists
got strong enough at that particular time to be able to put into office
such people as they desired. That was in the international capacity of
our union.

And that is mere extremist bias.
Let me guess - everyone who disagrees with you is guilty of extremist bias.

They want corporations to have government, corporate laws, corporate attorneys, corporate lobbyists, corporate PACs, the A.L.E.C., and other organizations supporting and protecting corporations and business in general (biggest corporations first),
Sounds like Hillary. Who as you know is supported by Bernie.

It says the Union was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities. But that committee, which has been described as a "Joseph McCarthy-type committee" was investigating all unions and looking under beds for communists.
Don't buy into old pro-Communist myths. Check out: Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America's Enemies

Sanders praised Castro and called him an example for America. Sanders even had a Soviet flag in his office!
