Scenes from the tea parties

Do you have evidence that the tea parties were non partisan? I've provided plenty of evidence proving that they were not.

you've provided jack$hit..... all that this lead post consist of is pictures of some illiterate brain dead ejits that would have a problem reading the instructions on a vomit bag. This is just so much bull...........

Any "moran" can pitch up with a friggin slogan pasted to a billboard but that dosn't prove there's a functioning brain cell between their ears claiming an understanding of what is going on around them. Suggest you come back with something a tad more convincing than a picture of some dickbrain with a picture on a stick...............

These tea parties were partisan events...funded, supported and promoted by those with a right wing agenda, really nothing more than Obama bashing events... Those on the right support the "goals" of the tea parties, those on the left are opposed...you see that reflected in this board.

This is from my local newspaper...a "giant" tea party gathering of approximately 150 people took place in Chehalis..

Most of the speakers hit on common themes, among them fiscal conservatism, respect for military veterans and a disdain for socialism, entitlements and government subsidies. The hour-long event began with a song, and ended with the singing of the 'Star Spangled Banner.'

Only one speaker deviated from the overall theme of the event. Local liberal activist Stephen Barlow of Centralia was one of the final speakers of the day, and said the U.S. was "going bankrupt through militarism." He said the country's 700 bases across the globe represent a waste of funds, and that the real criminals in the economic recession are brokers on Wall Street.

"That's why this country is going down," he said. "We can't afford it."

Barlow's comments set off several heated exchanges with crowd members, and he eventually stormed away.

"This was supposed to be nonpartisan," he said. "They're all fanatics."

.............and these were the "racist rednecks" you described in your opening remarks?

Not to mention the fact I still fail to see how this proves they are racist since all of their attacks are based off of government over-spending, all of the pictures minus one have no basis in " racist ideologies " or thought processes.

BTW... what does griping about people exercising their right to protest get you anyways except showing your complete hatred of the American way of life?!?!?!

Obama needs more bashing in my opinion. Not really bashing, but at least some coverge of the negative things he does.

CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, NY Times. When have they ever reported anything negative about Obama. Or is it that everyone thinks Obama is perfect (the chosen one).

Give me a flippin break and quit your stupid whining.

Obama isn't doing much different on the economy than the pretend republicans did.

Big bail outs
Increase the deficit.

You guys are a riot!!! I never have laughed so hard in my whole life.

And all the while, Obama's polls get lower and lower.

Keep it up, so I can keep on laughing.

Good, I'm glad you enjoy being out of power and basically irrelevant..

I can assure you, if Obama's numbers are anywhere near this in 2010 or 2012, your laughing will quickly return to the sniveling you Republicans have turned into an art form since November..

Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval

Approve-62%

Disapprove-30%

Approve-62%

Disapprove-30%

Once again, it was you who said that popularity was not indicative of actual competence.

Wow, 62%... thats... Totally average for every president since 1953 at this point in their administration. Jimmy Carter averaged 69% in 1977 and look at how well the Carter Administration worked out...

well Republicans managed to hit some nice 30s for numbers, so you can be damn proud of that...

Amusingly, my approval of Bush has actually increased since Obama got in office. Bush was horrible at the end, and yet Obama has made him look like an angel comparatively.

Of course you fail to realize that at this time in Bush's first term, he had higher approval ratings than Obama does now.

At this time in Bush's first term I did not like him at all. I bought one of those little guns that shoot foam balls to shoot my tv every time he came on. I really did not like him. What were his ratings before his first 100 days?

About 60%. He ended up not reaching the 50% mark until 2004. From there, due to all the bad socialist policy, he drop at a slow consistent rate until about 33% around 2007 or so... which leveled off and remains right around there to this day.

Not sure why he thought everyone would be happy with Amnesty. That was the biggest down drops in his popularity in 2004. A very bad move, that he never recovered from.

I read on another thread that Jimmy Carter had a higher rating at this time in his administration than obama does, some how that shocked me considering he sucked so dang bad. I cant wait for this four years to be up for a ton of reasons but to see the aproval rating is one of them

Typically, most presidents have high approval ratings at the start. Its after the effects of their policies take hold and cause problems, that their approval drops.

Carter wasn't a bad president.... until his price caps caused gas to dry up at the pump... right? Even Nixon had high approval for passing price caps that prevented the evil corporations from over charging customers.... until products stopped being produced, and jobs started being cut, and then the approval wasn't so high.

The only reason Obama's approval is dropping as fast as it is, is because his policies are so massive, so huge, even the democrats are starting to realize... hey there is going to be some sort of consequence to this.

I thought Carter was a great president till I started reading about political things maybe 7 or 8 years ago. I thought Reagan must be the most evil man alive till the same time.

Now I think Carter was a bad president all the way around, not just in domestic things but in the way he dealt with the world, our enemies and our military. I also have come to the conclusion since he left office and started his strange love for dictators that he was then and is now anti Jewish.

Amusingly, I didn't realize this until I did some research into the history of automobiles. I know that sounds like an odd place to realize the dangers of bad policy.... but I just happen to be looking through the development of cars during my automotive technology studies in college, when I noticed there was this massive gap in innovation that happened in the early 80s.

It was almost like everyone everywhere just canceled all real development, and for a near 10 year period, produced nothing but absolute crap. Although I didn't have this at the time, I got a book of America's Greatest Cars, which ironically, illustrates this perfectly. The book is divided up into 10 year periods.

Up until the 1970s, there are dozens on dozens of cars listed for each decade. The decade of 1960 to 1969 is 88 cars. Not one is a duplicate. The decade of 1980 to 1989 is 10 cars, two were Mustangs, one was the 88 Thunder bird, and amusingly the 83 Cavalier.

From the 70s, went from Olds F85 Rallyes, Plymouth Road Runners, Hemi Cudas and Superbirds, Dodge Chargers and Demons, Ford Mach 1 and Mercury Cougars...

To a Cavalier, a Mustang listed twice (something not done in any other time frame), and the most plain looking Thunderbird to ever exist. Again, I asked the most basic question... why?

The answer is Carter. He passed massive pollution and fuel mileage requirements, as well as styling restrictions. No more fins, no pointed hoods. More controls on exactly where lights have to be, and how many there can be. Endless controls and restrictions hit our domestic auto industry very hard. And they produced junk.

Interestingly, the worst one hit, was the one that got a Federal bailout, and produced the K-car. Not one single car from Chrysler was listed as America's greatest for the 1980s. I wonder if we'll see a repeat of that with GM.

So that's how I started looking at Carters record. I ask, how could he have gotten all this support to pass all these horrible industry destroying regulations? Answer, the invented 'energy crisis'. Carter knowingly passed price caps on oil, specifically to cause the crisis he used to pass all this legislation.

Then I looked at all the other crap he did, and clearly he truly is the worst American president of all time, unless Obama unseats him... which he's working on it big time.
