Obama Adviser Says U.S. Should Mull Second Stimulus

That's right kids... We spent 800 billion we didn't have the first time and now they want to spend even more.

So we're going to give the patient more of what its getting sick from... Government intervention.

Still using Bush's plan to fix the economy...

Obama's Economic Recovery Advisory board got it wrong, OOPS! "We'll get it right this time... We promise!"

MORE DEFICIT SPENDING?! MORE LONG TERM DEBT!? These people truly are making Bush look like a Fiscal Conservative.

Do you hear what this crazy b1tch is saying? The Fed, won't let the US inflate away its debt.... That's like saying the cookie jar will keep the children from eating too many cookies....

We have already begun monetizing our debt (fed prints money out of thin air then uses it to buy gov. bonds and the gov. spends the money), and we are already inflating our monetary base.

Both of these activities lead to inflation.

The only way to slow that inflation is for the fed to raise interest rates, which is currently at its lowest level in history: 0.25% The fed has stated that any signs of inflation will be met with immediate action to raise the interest rates. (Interest rates peaked at 21% under Carter, Obama may be trying for new a record)

One of the major problems we are having in the market now is the slow movement of credit. Lenders have drastically raised the bar for lending and borrowers are stretching their budgets to make it through an already stretched economy and not looking to borrow more.

The effect of raising rates slows growth because there is less credit and less borrowing but we are still in a situation where there is negative growth so the prospect of rising rates under these circumstances spells disaster. Raising Fed rates to the levels necessary to combat the pending inflation in our current economic environment will plunge us into a deeper recession and possible depression.

As you can see, they are pointing to home sales as the one and only sign of economic improvement, the rest of the economy is just slowing its rate of collapse but still collapsing. Looking at home sales as a sign of good things to come is completely misleading, its like chasing fools gold or voting Democrat - You'll just be disappointed when you find out its not what you though it was:

U.S. mortgage fraud 'rampant' and growing-FBI

That's right... The only sector of the economy that is showing signs of improvement is riddled with fraud, hence its amazing ability to be growing while all other sectors are in decline.

The housing bubble that created this mess is trying to re-inflate itself and the industry insiders are the ones doing all the blowing. Just as last time, the politicians in charge of oversight for the housing industry [such as Chris "I'm part of the Countrywide Lender scandal that's been brushed under the rug" Dodd (D) who serves as Chairman of the Senate banking committee and Barney "I was having sex with the Fannie CEO during the last housing bubble" Frank (D) who serves as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee] are too busy having their palms greased with political contributions and making back room deals to bother with such menial tasks as tending to the people's business affairs.

Our suicidal fiscal policy is creating a monetary bubble while the housing bubble is again ballooning and all of America is either asleep at the switch or watching news coverage of a deceased pedophile.

The people have to do something, revolt, something. This just cant keep happening. We can not afford it, my daughter can not afford it. Her daughter can not afford. I am shocked that the people are putting up with this.

Why on Earth would they consider a second stimulus when their first worthless stimulus has not even put any money really into the economy?

some said from the start it was to small with the econ as bad off as it was.
Regardless I dont see it happening, I think most econ people can see its slowly comeing around, just not as fast as hoped. I know alot of people getting or looking at getting homes now, to get that rebate, and have seen signs in at least our market that sales have started to pick up.

Second stimulus talk indicates Obama lied again.

Obama promised by bankrupting our kids the economy would improve for us!

Stimulus is bad news, so I'm thinking Obama will go for a second round.

He always does the wrong thing, it's called CHANGE!

If the economy is coming around and we have yet to really spend any of the stimulus, what exactly was it needed for in the first place? Outside of just a massive expansion of government?

If the first stimulus was like taking a half tablet of Viagra, then someone needs to take the other half.

If not, we'll only be half screwed.

At least that (the first part, not the second) is what one astute investor has said (paraphrased, of course).

    Check it out here.

its to bad your day is made by attacks on someone else without any basis. Attacking Bush did not make my day, it made me sad to watch him screw up so much and to know alot of people died for those mistakes. If Bush had had his tax cut and the econ did well with it and kept going, had Bush gone to war and found the WMD Program and Left iraq quick and the mission realy was accomplished , great. Had he fixed health care in any way that helped, I would have been happy. Had he actuly done any single thing to combat terrorism before Sept 11, and actuly listened to those from CLinton who told him how big a threat Bin Ladin was....I would have been happy ( even if it may not have stoped the attack,,,just that he listened and was trying at least)......Had Bush United the nation more ( and I dont mean in just hate of his ideas...he did do that at least)

But you just want to hear bad things about Obama ....If uneployment went down to 4, would you be pissed? If the econ gets going again soon, as many have suggested by the end of the year) are you going to be mad? if 80% of Americans felt things where getting better would this anger you?

I would hope not, becuse I would hope you would rather see success for the nation then to be right. I hoped to god I would be wrong about Iraq...and I would gladly be wrong still...and get back those lifes and chaos that iraq was that so few in the Bush WHite House seemed to think it ever would be. When the Iraq war started, I was watching in deep hope that Saddam did not have the WMD and used that....even though I even had stated I though there was a good chance he did have them ( my view of that got less and less as Bush talked and the white house kept puting out lies...I had to think if our intel was as good as we thought then we would not be putting out things known to be wrong already)...yet on Fox News ( yes I was watching Fox news becuse they had the live feed going at 4am still) I watched one of hte people on say I hope they use WMD so we can show those liberals how wrong they where....I was pissed as hell....She wanted to watch our troops and others die just to prove a point against liberals ( of course we know who was right on that now anyway) I have no idea who she was, I am guessing just someone who was not a reg, just a fill in type back up, as it was 4am...but I could be wrong...I dont often watch Fox then or now.

Yup! We changed from one of the longest period of record employment in the history of the nation to on of the WORST runs of unemployment in the history of the nation, and they're only making it WORSE as the days go by.

We were told that if we did nothing that unemployment would get to 8%, so they did something and now we're at 9.8%, headed for 10% like a rocket on rails, and some areas are already at 20%!!!

We're "changing" from the worlds only superpower into a third world sh*thole, it's happening right before our eyes, and the Obliviots are fiddling while America burns.
