The main impetus for the question was the present immigration crisis in the E. U. and the fact that Islam is growing in power and influence all over the free world and if we do not bring it to heel, our women and cultures will lose the equality of the sexes.

I've seen it.. I expected something a little deeper, from someone as enlightened as you..

your argument has little to do with Islam , as islam actuly gave more rights to woman, then Christians did. Now does that mean Muslims have always followed those things ? no. But Koran vs Bible...Koran is going to win in a who is better for woman. But then again the Bible is also cool with slavery so you know.

Christians like to pretend they are better at womans rights, but how long did it take for woman to be able to vote in the US? Own Property, Divorce...And from the bible to the Koran...they had a good head start on it. Alot of what gets blamed on Islam, is not actually Islam but backwards traditions from the region, that are not talked about anyplace in the Koran.

again I guess you can't read....I said the Koran and was talking early times. and your talking about cultural issues, rather then Islam itself. Chrisitans in the past and even today , don't always have a issue beating their wife, and make them subservient to them. The Bible was ok with slavery, most today are not. Because society chaged and ignores the that part now. Just like like the Koran often is against the actions of what many do in the name of Islam.
