BUFFALO, NY – They were not the kind of "April Showers" that Buffalonians had hoped for.
On Tuesday morning, a two burst of snowfall hit New York State's second largest city, leaving about an inch of accumulation in some spots.
The snow had dissipated by noon, and by evening just trace amounts remained on grassy areas.
April snowfall is nothing new for the Queen City.
There have been several years where it received over 20 inches of snow during April, and three years (1936, 1900, and 2001 respectively) where April snowfall totals exceeded 30 inches.
