A fascinating campaign in which the newspapers, and to some extent the TV, even the state run one, campaigned relentlessly to get rid of Labour's Helen Clark and her coalition partner, New Zealand First.

The latter managed to survive three investigations launched by right-wing buffoon Rodney Hide of the ACT party which wants everyone to be a millionaire.
