That's the gist of the bill the House it going to try to pass on Sunday. It does two things:

1.) It will "deem" the Senate's HC bill as "passed".
2.) It will pass a series of modifications to that Senate HC bill.

Well, guess what, sports fans. That means that the House is passing a DIFFERENT bill from what the Senate passed, since the House is modifying the bill.

That means the Senate must now approve the modifications in this Sunday bill... or else there will be nothing for the President to sign.

Even if this "deeming" of "passage" was somehow Constitutional, the addition of modifications to the Senate bill by the House, makes it un-signable by the President.

The Constitution requires that the House and Senate pass the SAME, IDENTICAL bill, to be able to send it to the President for his signature.

The House shell-game masters seem to be pretending that if the bill deeming passage, has a set of modifications next to it in the same bill, then somehow the bill isn't modified for signing purposes, but IS modified for House-passage purposes.

Can anybody figure out these bizarre pretzel twists Nancy Pelosi is going through, to put forth this amazing charade?

Sorry, Nancy. If your bill modifies the Senate HC bill, then it's NOT the same bill the Senate passed.

Back to the drawing board, Dems. You just shot yourselves in the foot with this attempted stunt.

What did people think the Senate reconciliation process was going to be used for in regard to health care?

Cons would also be taken more seriously on this issue if they had raised the same stink when the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 came into law. The language in the House and Senate bills were different and Bush signed the Senate version.

Where was the constitutional concerns then from Cons? Oh, right, Bush was President.

Never let a Con try to tell you about principles. They don't know the meaning of the word.

Doesn't matter to the left wing fools. It is not about what is best for the country, or the people, nor the Constitution. It is about the historical nature of the event just like the election of BO was. Just think, if BO can pull this off even if it does violate the Constitution the becomes the equivalent of a Black FDR, and accomplishes what even the great Ted Kennedy could not do.

One should always go by a rule of thumb -

If a Con talks about what is "in the Constitution", don't believe them.

You'll be right far more than wrong. I've had these Constitutional scholars tell me that the Constitution requires a recorded vote on every piece legislation. Which is wrong... according to the Constitution.

You wouldn't know what's in the Constitution if it S**t in your cereal bowl.

See, that's typical. Ad hominem versus anything of substance.

I applaud Cons for playing true to form.

Gee....how much-more-convenient, it'd be, if George Bush & The DICK; Cheney were workin' for us.
