According to Republicans, who are keeping track, 12 major Democratic politicians are planning to skip the DNC. While the convention's timing is hard on Democrats in tight races, a long list of no-shows could embarrass Obama.

The Unions are unhappy because No. Carolina is a right-to-work state. So they are holding their own convention in another state.

Thats against convention rules. Just like the IOC cant move the olympics because a country did something bad. Like Jimmy Carter wanted the olympics moved out of Moscow back in 1980 because the soviets invaded afgainstan. The IOC said no. So the only alternative is to boycott the games. Thats what theyre doing. Boycott the Convention. Theyre only hurting themselves. The Conventions help the candidates to raise money and help the party rally the candidate to become president. Just like Carter hurt himself for doing this. ABC TV Spent millions on the olympic coverage so they lost money because America wasnt partispating the games. So ABC TV got even they refused to endorce Carter or aired any of his political ads. So as that result Reagan became president. So when delitgates refuse to attend it shows Obama is a loser.
