THE DRUG-WAR; Coming To A City, Near YOU!!

You know Hezbollah was busted in North Carolina running a multi-million dollar counterfeit cigarette operation. One would ask, how were they doing this since cigarettes are legal and readily available...

Legalizing drugs will not end the drug trade. Cartels will simply find a new operation to engage in.

If they made pot legal it would cost so much no one would buy it

the better stuff and cheaper will still be gotten on the streets

no one will be able to afford the tax

and if they made drugs legal then it would be as easy to grow your pot as it is tomatoes
Ill grow it just for fun

In addition to my other post above, Al Qaeda related groups were busted for selling counterfeit shampoo. Criminal elements do not simply shut down their operations if you make what they selling legal.

Yeah.....and, it won't be the legalized-drugs.

Great, maybe it will be in weapons instead. Or in search of money they will partner with terror groups to use their smuggling routes to transport explosives or other illicit material.

Further, the Hezbollah example proves, just because something is legal hardly means there is no money to be made in it. If they made millions selling counterfeit cigarettes, imagine what the drug cartels can do.

No prob.....let the DEA start chasing shampoo-counterfeiters.

Fine.

Vaporize the DEA, and transfer their budget to the folks who chase-down weapons, explosives or other illicit material.

We could call it Fiscal Responsibility.

Sorry but the liberal view "create a problem to solve a problem" doesn't work skippy

Legalizing drugs would just increase the number of liberal scum in this country, and we can't have that.
So sorry Shame-an, you'll have to continue to buy your dope in the alley like the rest of your libby friends...

Also consider that if you legalize, kids/teens will have greater access to said drugs much like they do with alcohol now. So you would like to compound the problem by adding pot, coke, crank, krack, etc?

Definite lib view.
"Marijuana use by teens fell significantly in King County, Washington (population: 2.3 million) following the state’s adoption of adult-use legalization, according to data provided by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Investigators reported that cannabis use fell 60 percent among males and 42 percent among females from 2012 to 2021. (Voters approved a ballot initiative legalizing the adult use market in 2012; retail cannabis sales began in 2014.)

The study’s authors suggested that legalization likely made it more difficult for
teens to access cannabis."

Marijuana a major cause of accidents? What study says

By Ryan Jaslow
October 17, 2011 / 11:50 AM EDT / CBS News

(CBS) Studies have shown marijuana may help fight glaucoma, boost appetites in cancer patients, and reduce nausea, aches, and pains for some disease sufferers. But a new study links pot to something else:
Deadly car crashes.
PICTURES: Drugged driving: 20 states with highest rates
The study found that nearly 30 percent of fatally injured drivers tested positive for drugs other than alcohol, with marijuana being the main culprit.
"Given the ongoing epidemic of drug-impaired driving and the increased permissibility and accessibility of marijuana for medical use in the U.S., it is urgent that we better understand the role of marijuana in causing car accidents," study author Dr. Guohua Li, professor of epidemiology at Columbia University, said in a written statement.
