OK Folks, throughout debate on this site, I see criticism here on HOP complaining about the viability of various media sources. So, I ask you, who is the most credible media source in your mind?

none are good, you need to listen to both sides then you need to research the area they disagreed on to get the truth.

Agreed. I typically research stuff on my own, getting from a variety of sources.

I also typically avoid mass media sources. They have proven to me to be not very credible for any information. The worst being 30 second news reports on TV. Just awful inaccurate reporting on so many issues, it's pathetic.

I agree with the first part, but think that if you watch both CNN and FOX, you can get a pretty good idea of what is really going on. Then, if you learn to surf the internet and separate fact from fiction, that will help, too.

CNN is so biased, it's not even a joke anymore. Remember the "undecided" voter plants at the Democratic national debate? Or how about Soledad telling Ron Pual that everyone called him a flake? Or how about them calling the VP debate for Biden, when there were more voting for Palin? Or when they asked Palin about someone at the national review, saying they couldn't tell if "she was dumb, stupid, incompetent or corrupt and backwards", when in fact it wasn't posted to the National Review yet, and was about bias media coverage of Palin, not actually about her. (talk about ironic)

Let's not forget those super tough questions CNN asked Obama like...

"Do you feel you messed up in letting it get this far?" referring to Tom Dashel
“Do you feel you have lost some of that moral high ground which you set for yourself on day one with the ethics reform?”
“On executive compensation... ...your tough talk may be just for show. What can you really do?”

    And my personal favorite...

“But this is what American people are hearing about, whether rightly or wrongly. And, I mean, did the -- did the Republicans beat you on selling this, on selling the message? Did you lose the message?”

Rightly or wrongly? How can you hear of $120 Million dollars earmarked for "honey bee insurance"... 'wrongly'? And all he can ask is... "did you lose the message?"

I don't know about Fox News because I have never gotten Fox News, but CNN is so far off the scale left, that it's just a pathetic joke for anyone not to see it unless they are way over in fruity conspiracy world.

My favorite was when Anderson Cooper apologized and showed absolute discomfort in having to cover the story on the Rev. Wright saying God damn America and the other queer things he said in church and how unfair it was that the world was forcing him to cover the story.

CNN is everything you said and more, but the really really sad part is.... they are a billion times better than MSNBC

Once again Shaman, you are #1 at being wrong. I have specifically not cited World Net Daily for my information, specifically because I know that no matter how truthful the information might be, the leftist idiots will assume it's wrong simply because of the source.

I can't even remember the last time I actually visited WND. Here you are laughing about me citing a source I've almost never cited. That's exactly what I expect from this forums least reliable source of information. You can't even make an accurate insult of other forum members.

Moreover, you routinely cite CrookandLiars, a blog that is at least 20X as error ridden as WND has ever been. Yet you think your going to laugh about World Net Daily?

lol... You might have a bright future as a punch line.

You should try to get Fox. I think you would like it. Still, given your political philosophy, you might just find even Fox a little too left leaning, just not quite as "socialistic" as CNN.

Here are some excerpts from Fox on line:

This from Oliver North (remember him, the traitor who is the darling of the self described conservatives?)

    Here's another editorial from Fox:

Check it out. If you find Fox too leftist for your taste, I'm afraid I have nothing else to suggest.

    Well, maybe Anne Coulter.

There is no such thing as unbiased media. There probably never has been.

All media outlets are there for exactly one purpose; to manipulate opinion in the direction supported by whoever is paying for the airtime. Think campaign ads disguised as news.

Commercials are probably the most honest form of media manipulation. At least they are being straightforward about trying to sell you their product.
