We all know that source of evil is greed.

But no one seems to talk about the source of all good.

Any ideas on where goodness or altruism comes from?

I guess this is a philosophical question, but I couldn't find a section for it so I posted here.

Many species in the animal kingdom seem to reflect acts of altruism that might be related to "survival of the species". I think that at the core humans tend to naturally care for babies and seemingly helpless individuals for similar reasons.

I'm not sure I even agree with your premise that the source of evil is greed.

Where do you think evil comes from then?
