A report released today blasted senior members of the Penn State administration -- including head coach Joe Paterno and President Graham Spanier -- for their response to allegations of sexual abuse by former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky.

Sandusky was convicted on June 22 of 45 criminal counts of child sexual abuse of 10 boys over a 15-year period. Sandusky retired in 1999, but kept an office at the school and used its facilities. He awaits sentencing in the fall.

Louis Freeh, former director of the FBI and chief investigator of the inquiry, said in remarks Thursday morning,
The evidence shows that these four men also knew about a 1998 criminal investigation of Sandusky relating to suspected sexual misconduct with a young boy in a Penn State football locker room shower. Again, they showed no concern about that victim. The evidence shows that Mr. Paterno was made aware of the 1998 investigation of Sandusky, followed it closely, but failed to take any action, even though Sandusky had been a key member of his coaching staff for almost 30 years, and had an office just steps away from Mr. Paterno’s. At the very least, Mr. Paterno could have alerted the entire football staff, in order to prevent Sandusky from bringing another child into the Lasch Building. Messrs. Spanier, Schultz, Paterno and Curley also failed to alert the Board of Trustees about the 1998 investigation or take any further action against Mr. Sandusky. None of them even spoke to Sandusky about his conduct. In short, nothing was done and Sandusky was allowed to continue with impunity.

Wanna know why NCAA wont do nothing to schools like Penn State, Notre Dame,Ohio State or even UCLA? Cause those school make Money for the NCAA. NCAA is a scam, Why dont the Government regalate the Collerge Sports undustry instead the NCAA? Look State government control High School sports right? Why cant the Federal government control College Sports?

If the NCAA does not issue a Death Penalty to Penn State--every major college should simply walk away from them--and let them issue threats to Fordham and William & Mary.

SMU got it for next to nothing--by way of comparison.

They will cease to exist if they do not bring down the hammer on a college where the Head Coach in Football KNEW a man ON HIS STAFF was screwing little boys in the Penn State showers--and then let him retire (with a big-ass union pension) and THEN GAVE HIM THE KEYS TO THE FACILITY!

The LEGAL LIABILITY of Penn State is literally incalculable.

It is a dark and terrible time for Penn State--but this action is either what you do when this happens--or you just turn your back when you see a little kid getting humped by a an adult predator in a parking lot at Walmart--which is pretty much what PSU did.

Liberals will come up with a galaxy of smooth-talking 'oh mys' and clucking remarks trying to ameliorate.

You are either FOR IT or AGAINST IT.

Let us not forget--Joe Paterno once condescended when asked why he did not retire--that "He did not want to leave college football to the Jackie Sherrils (Texas A&M) and Barry Switzers (Oklahoma) of the world."

Instead--he harbored CHILD MOLESTERS and gave them full access to the facilities to rape small boys.
Unforgivable. Unacceptable. Eternal Shame.

This is the Day of Reckoning for the NCAA--a group I despise for many, many reasons--and they will stand or fall.

They LOVE Penn State and Notre Dame and Michigan and the Big Ten in general. Any east coast team.

They are an east-coast old boy system that has hammered the midewst, southwest, southeast teams to try and get rid of them.
I would LOVE to see them dissolved and a new, logical organization formed.
They are rotten to the core.

Looks like Penn State is going to go the Watergate Route on this wallpaper-job--disgusting charade of mealy-mouth shit.

BIG MISTAKE.

Like i said the U.S Government should control college sports like State governments control high school sports. I want the Senate commitiee regalate the rules in College Sports and punish the violators too.

Don't think the government should ever be involved.
Corruption and graft would rule.
A nightmare--like everything else they touch.

Govt. should ONLY do the things others cannot do. Like national defense.
