US political infighting is the threat to US national interests in the world

Yes, yes yes
Well... no really... but its been fun huh.

Whaddya think of the following as a bit of cross-party collaboration?
The Reps and the Dems both pretty much agree that your man Trump is a tad backward with no idea of how to run a tap let alone a Government. Mid-terms come up in 2018 and based on the current opinion polls (apart from the brainwashed 35%) Trump is pretty much THE drag on the ticket, therefore, why not dump him! Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan have been served up a cold plate of halfassed legislative vomit from Trump from day one and been told to lap it up, let’s face it the quality and style of leadership coming from the Trump® office is about as effective as Mr. Bean so how much longer do you think these guys are going to put up with his bullshit? Trump is a political amateur and seems to but running out of political capital rapidly. Wasn't he playing with fire engines when TrumpCare was going down the crapper?

Even on the media front! He is alienating those that have the power to put his message over and that of the party. Look at how Krauthammer is now slamming Trump and his Fox mate Andrew Napolitano if that’s not enough then there’s the guys at the Wall Street Journal shooting the prat down in flames – maybe that should be a warning sign that it’s time to put the shutters up and get prepping for the storm to come.

I would hazard a guess that the Dems and Reps will have some form of dialogue going on about getting rid of the guy before the mid-terms.

They would do better to listen to their constituants so that they might not get replaced in the mid terms. Their favorables make Trump's look great.
Hes not going anywhere.
And I see the donkeys are sending Maxine Waters to NH. Get used to Don, he's as good as reelected.

I think they are.... approval rating 35%...????

as what...?

You are correct, of course! It may in fact be even worse than it looks!

"By a 54 - 38 percent margin, American voters want the Democratic Party to win control of the U.S. House of Representatives. This is the widest margin ever measured for this question in a Quinnipiac University poll, exceeding a 5 percentage point margin for Republicans in 2013.

If Democrats had won control of the U.S. Senate in the 2016 elections, the country would be in a better place than it is now, 41 percent of voters say, while 27 percent say it would be in a worse place and 30 percent say it would be the same.

American voters dislike Democrats less than they dislike Republicans:
  • Voters disapprove 71 - 22 percent of the way Republicans in Congress do their job;
  • Voters disapprove 58 - 34 percent of the way Democrats in Congress are doing their job.
From May 4 - 9, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,078 voters nationwide with a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points. Live interviewers call landlines and cell phones.

The Quinnipiac University Poll, directed by Douglas Schwartz, Ph.D., conducts public opinion surveys in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Iowa, Colorado and the nation as a public service and for research. "

Considering they went to nany heavy blue states I'm surprised the numbers are so favorable.

The Quinnipiac poll involved 9 states, 4 of those states voted for Trump in 2016 (PA, FL, OH, IA) 5 voted for Clinton (CO, NY, NJ, CT, and VA)

Among the 9 states surveyed by the Quinnipiac poll, 5 voted for Clinton, and 4 for Trump.

However, the TOTAL # of voters who voted either for Trump or Clinton in 2016 in the 5 states that Clinton won is 17,888,861. The TOTAL # of voters who voted either for Trump or Clinton in 2016 in the 4 states won by Trump is 21,387,604.

Of the 5 states that voted for Clinton, 4 have a Democratic governor (CT, CO, VA, NY) and one has a Republican governor (NY). However, the State legislature in FOUR of those states is MIXED, while only one is all BLUE (CT).

Of the 4 states that voted for Trump, 3 have a Republican governor (FL, OH, IA) one one has a Democratic governor (PA). However, the State legislature in THREE of those states is RED, while the fourth one (PA) is MIXED.

This seems to demonstrates that the 9 states surveyed are NOT "Nany Heavy Blue" states, but are mostly MIXED in the states that voted for Clinton, but are decidedly RED in the states that voted for Trump.
