Voters unhappy with economy

Actually, for 2007, it was $14.16 Bn a month, or $170 Bn for the year, which, when adjusted for inflation, is the LOWEST we EVER spent on any war in the entire 20th Century. For instance, WWII cost us $288 Bn, in 1945 dollars, which equates to $6.4 Bn (average) for the 45 months of the war, or in 2007 dollars, $74.69 Bn per month. WWI cost us $22,625,253,000 for our 17 month participation, or $1,330,897,235 per month in 1918 dollars, or $21,349,355,417 per month in 2007 dollars.

It's long past time people quit crying about "the war is costing too much". It's a Red Herring argument, that has no basis in reality.

THAT'S ABSOLUTELY RIGHT YOU CRY BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should have realize that historical perspective would have been lost on you. Oh well, can't say I didn't try.

Would you care for me to go ahead and utterly trash your silly notion about OIF "destroying the economy" from a historical perspective, or are you too invested in your "hate America first", "bush lied and soldiers died" mantra to even look at the facts?

(you'd really be hosed if I presented the evidence comparing our and enemy losses as a ratio of their populations immediately prior to the respective wars, and I could show you the facts concerning the economic impact of previous wars, based on the GDP of the nation at the time so that you'd have an accurate idea of the true economic impact, which in this case is marginal at best, but I suppose that would be lost on you too.)

Oh, and your appeals to emotion via your YouTube presentations just don't cut it with me.

The Iraq war kept the prices falsely higher for far less time than the Afghanistan war and the Iran war could theoretically make little or no difference or, worse still, lead to an escalation of energy crises leading to the dow sliding rapidly toward the low 10,000 area and beyond, rather than making any final attempt to survive America's suicidal foreign policy

If you take a flexible view, you can see that an America with lots of friends worldwide would be much more comfortable in hard times and would be helped in getting back on its feet, and that an America known only for invasions and air raids and bombings and cruise missiles and killing 39 civilians at a wedding or 50 civilians in a school (etc etc) is an America which, in economic crisis, is an America no one outside America is going to even want to help let alone try to help.

Yeah, killing 39 "civilians" at a wedding, who just happened to be TERRORISTS! 50 "civilians" at a school, who just happened to be TERRORISTS!

That's the problem with terrorists, they don't wear uniforms, they just shoot at us, and WE SHOOT BACK.
