Were they arrested for being black in a public place?

I'd like to see the video (if it exists) from before the police were called. Once the police arrived and asked them to leave there was no doubt they were going to get arrested for refusing to leave.

It seems the manager just had a bad day - that doesn't make Starbucks racist.
How is it the manager was having a bad day?

She was following Starbuck's policies.

And, you are correct.

Even if this woman was an old school southern racist in a rich white area of Philadelphia doesn't make Starbuck's racist.

Then why would the CEO close down 8,000 Starbuck's locations for a day to teach it's employees how racist whitey is?

Doesn't make sense does it.

This entire event was staged.

The CEO is just race baiting ..... AGAIN !!!

The reaction of Starbucks to this incident shows that it isn't racist. The employee probably doesn't even realize he is a racist either. Lots of people don't.

When the English language comes up with a good gender neutral third person singular pronoun, I'll start using it. It seems insulting to use the pronoun "it." What would you use?
Oh ....

My bad.

I must have mistaken you for someone who was actually informed on this event.

The manager was female.

Her name is Holly Hylton.
