Why all this violence in the middle East (mostly) against Americans NOW?

Fanatic Muslim savages making hay while the sun shines.

They realize they only have a few months left where the Great Satan (that's us) has a weak, Muslim-anus-kissing government that they can take advantage of, so they're doing all they can to say "F U" to the Americans before the new sheriff arrives in town.

Something nearly identical happened in 1979-1980, and for the same reason.

Brings to mind on old joke that circulated in late 1980, shortly after the election.

Two ayatollah types are standing around talking. One asks:

"What's flat, black, three hundred miles wide, no more than four feet high, and glows in the dark?"

The other replies:

"Us, fifteen minutes after Reagan is inaugurated."

Could something similar be going on now?

Foreign countries aren't exposed as much to the U.S. mainstream media, and have a more realistic view of today's trends in America, especially those they are on the receiving end of. My guess is, they know a change is on the horizon. Notice they aren't doing any of this stuff within the continental United States, where they would have to deal with the reactions of normal Americans afterward.

The video may or may not be a factor but honestly the obvious answer is that the attacks are because it is 9/11.

US-commanded MFO in Sinai under attack -- dead reported in compound

Israel media - Channel 2 - just reported that the US-commanded Multi-National Force Observors headquarters in the Sinai is under assault. Salafists laid seige to the building this afternoon and some 50 armed men stormed it. There is fighting going on in the building and there are dead inside.
The MFO is the force that was established under the Israel-Egypt peace treaty. It is charged with guaranteeing the demilitarization of the Sinai.

The MFO has two bases. I believe that the one under attack is in northern Sinai, built on an old Israeli Air Force base.

The MFO has come under attack several times since the outset of the US-supported Islamic revolution there. The US approved and forced Israel to accept the deployment of Egyptian tanks in the Sinai some weeks ago as part of a much touted counterterror offensive of the Egyptian military. Its results were inconclusive but at Israel's insistence, the tanks were removed a couple weeks ago. Egyptian President Morsi supports the remilitarization of the Sinai. It is hard not to see the strategic implications of this attack on the MFO.

If one were to spread heroin dust all over the airport the sniffer dogs would be useless to find smuggled heroin.

If one were to plant marijuana all over the place then it would be easy to get, the price would drop, and the black market for it would disappear.

If millions of people blasphemed the prophet then the muslims would have no real target they could single out.

I watch the muslims doing all this protesting and mayhem almost like it's a sport for them. They really seem to enjoy getting all riled up and burning things. I don't think they need a real reason to vent, just an excuse. Heaven forbid they get mad at the restrictive way they are forced to live because of their religion.
