An active shooter with a rifle and tactical gear reportedly shot at Border Patrol agents arriving at an annex facility in Texas on Monday, injuring one local police officer, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and multiple reports.

Police and border agents shot and killed the gunman, who has not been identified, at a McAllen Texas Border Patrol building, a DHS spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Authorities believe the shooting was an intentional attack on border officials, Fox News reported.
