It is folly, indeed, that today's any of scientists think they can predict things they have pitifully little REAL empirical knowledge of.But a couple of decades ago--the same crowd said the Ice Age was coming. That pretty much sums up a lack of ability and an abundance of conceit--that does--BTW--get them tons and tons of "research" money which is what they are all about. Hucksters--just like Wall Street--"the same woman, with a different hat"--as the French would say.
