Deciding that "some people" are worthy of a licence, and "other people" who desire a licence are not allowed to obtain it is social statism.Now, if EVERYONE was free to either get a licence or not, as they chose, than I could see your point.In this case (Gay rights), allowing special tax and other benefits to people who are "allowed" to get a licence, but refusing those special taxes and benefits to those who are NOT ALLOWED to get a licence is social statism.
