Are we supposed to have a limited federal government?

Can the government do whatever it wants?

What is the purpose of a constitution?

What is the intent of the writers of the constitution?

What is the meaning of the 10th amendment?

Was it necessary to write the 10th amendment or was its meaning already known?

Do we in fact have a limited fed government?

Yes

Sadly, yes.

To limit the power of the federal government.

Individual liberty and limited government under God.

To limit the power of the federal government.

Absolutely necessary, but of course liberalism has bastardized the entire Constitution.

No...again thanks to Liberalism.

Yes, all Americans agree we are supposed to have limited government.

Conservatives say it's supposed to be limited to the Constitution's list of powers it assigns.

Liberals say it's supposed to be limited to whatever the current liberal-in-chief wants to limit it to.

See? Complete agreement in the matter. Bipartisan, even!

I would really like to see what liberals/progressives/the left has to say here on this thread. Will they shrink away and fail to comment proving that theirs is a losing position or will they enlighten us with some insights we have missed?
