Barbara Walters apologizes for helping Assad aide

NEW YORK (AP) — Television journalist Barbara Walters has apologized for trying to help a former aide to Syrian President Bashar Assad land a job or get into college in the United States.
The ABC veteran acknowledged the conflict in trying to help Sheherazad Jaafari, daughter of the Syrian ambassador to the United States and a one-time press aide to Assad. Jaafari helped Walters land an interview with the Syrian president that aired in December
.
Walters said in a statement issued Tuesday she rejected Jaafari's later request for a job at ABC News, saying it was a conflict of interest. But she said she contacted people on Jaafari's behalf and "I regret that."

The interview with Assad in the midst of the Syrian uprising was considered tough. Assad told Walters that no government kills its own people unless it is led by "a crazy person."

Well Well,,,Ill bet you ABC NEWS wont Fire her. But if this was an conservitive journalist on CNN or on MSNBC he or she will get fired. Just like MSNBC did to Pat Buccanon. You see theyre two sets of rules for journalist. One for Liberals and one for conservitives. Just even political personalties wont get the boot like Bill Maher,David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon. But when Rush Limbaugh makes an sexest comment the N.O.W get upset and get ads pulled off his show,,But when Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a cunt and a bitch N.O.W looks the other way. And when Jimmy Fallon approved playing a song called"" You Lying Bitch"" when Michelle Bachmann appered. Now what you think the outcome would been if Jimmy Fallon played that song for Michelle Obama? It will be a very differant outcome now would it? So i think its fair for ABC NEWS President to fire Barbara Walters.

seems no one is interested in protecting or defending the Constitution.
