its the jews !

well at least he's taking a break from blaming Bush for everything.
how about it jews ? still happy with BO ?

The Obama administration is blaming Israel for the recent rise in global crude oil prices, according to a Sunday report in The World Tribune. The rise in fuel prices is deemed as harming the U.S. economy and has also hurt Obama in the polls as he seeks re-election in November.

The report cited a leading U.S. analyst, Robert Satloff, who returned from talks with Israeli officials.

Satloff, executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said, according to The World Tribune, that the Israeli leadership saw Washington as attributing the higher gas prices to “Israel’s posturing” on Iran.

And it has nothing to do with the continued expansion of a weak dollar policy -- and the fact that Iran developing a nuclear capability is destabilizing to the region. o_O

Of course not silly, how could that possibly be it ?
Darn jews, if its not one pestilence (bush) its two...

Israel is the one talking about bombing Iran...And yes it is driving up the cost of oil. Iran has not changed anything in the last 8 years...Israel is the one where we have heard reports of plans to bomb this summer and thats the force driving up costs. Speculators are not basing it on what Iran is doing.

Hitler took care of that problem 70 years ago. He blamed jews for the problems of Germany and he sent them to death camps. Obama admin told time mag that Israel was gionna attack IRAN. You see Obama is fooling Israel they dont really have our Back. Obama wants IRAN to wipe israel off the map from the face of the earth.Anti semitism is growing in America

--sigh--

you seem to forget that Iran's threats to disrupt the Straits of Hormuz were in response to sanctions ratcheted up by Obama and the rest of the west. these threats spooked the oil trading biz. you also seem to forget that Iran has been stating for years that they seek to eliminate Israel from the map and that this costly effort of theirs to make the nuclear weapons they can't buy serve this purpose.

so this is yet another way Obama is driving energy costs up as he has long stated he intended to do.

the threat was to do so, if Israel attacked them...gas is not going up because of sanctions, its going up on the threat of war...also one day you guys will figure out that just because someone says something is the cause does not mean its also the blame....Israels threats to go to war...are one reason gas has gone up. That does not mean that Israel can't or should not defend itself..its a simple fact that Israel has stated it may bomb Iran...and Iran said it would/could in return cut off the strait...Israel makes no threat to bomb...there is no threat to close off strait.

Also you should be smart enough to know the difference between Iran blowing smoke out there ass for public consumption...and real threats made by Israel.

Why is Iran "blowing smoke", but Israel is automatically serious?

Take Iran out of the picture totally, and we would still be seeing higher oil prices -- because we are actively promoting a weak dollar policy.

how can he plug his antisemitism otherwise ?

Quotations by
Golda Meir

As the Middle East heats up with acts of terror and words of war, it seems an appropriate time to reflect on these quotations by Golda Meir (1898-1978), one of the founders and the fourth Prime Minister of the State of Israel.
(Source: Wikiquote.org)

* We who have such an intimate knowledge of boxcars and of deportations to unknown destinations,... we cannot be silent. (1956)
* Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us. (1957)

* Anyone who speaks in favor of bringing the Arab refugees back must also say how he expects to take the responsibility for it, if he is interested in the state of Israel. It is better that things are stated clearly and plainly: We shall not let this happen. (1961)

* We have always said that in our war with the Arabs we had a secret weapon - no alternative. (1969)
* There were no such things as Palestinians. When was there an independent Palestinian people with a Palestinian state?...They did not exist." (1969)
* It is true we have won all our wars, but we have paid for them. We don't want victories anymore. (1969)
* When peace comes, we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons. (1969)
* We don't thrive on military acts. We do them because we have to, and thank God we are efficient. (1969)
* This country exists as the fulfillment of a promise made by God Himself. It would be ridiculous to ask it to account for its legitimacy. (1971)
* We hate war. We do not rejoice in victories. We rejoice when a new kind of cotton is grown, and when strawberries bloom in Israel. (1970)
* Arab sovereignty in Jerusalem just cannot be. This city will not be divided - not half and half, not 60-40, not 75-25, nothing. (1973)
* It's no accident many accuse me of conducting public affairs with my heart instead of my head. Well, what if I do? . . . Those who don't know how to weep with their whole heart don't know how to laugh either. (1973)
* I prefer to stay alive and be criticized than be sympathized. (1973)
* We have been forced to choose between what is more dangerous and what is less dangerous for us. (1975)
* I live in a country whose people have learned how to go on living in a sea of hatred without hating those who want to destroy them and without abandoning their own vision of peace. (1975)
* We have all been tempted to give in to various pressures and to accept proposals that might guarantee us a little quiet for a few months, or maybe even for a few years, but that could only lead us eventually into even greater peril. (1975)

* Above all, this country is our own. Nobody has to get up in the morning and worry what his neighbors think of him. Being a Jew is no problem here..(1978)

Yes, but it is MUCH more than.

This socialist administration is also actively promoting a policy that refuses to develop our own fossil fuel resources, while spending billions on ineffective green technologies...and losing those billions (can you imagine the response Bush would be getting from libs, dems, MSM if he lost billions of taxpayer money on ineffective projects??? yet hardly a peep when BO does it)

Result: higher gas prices and higher deficits...thanks BO!!!

You want oil prices to drop? Drill in America,, Pipeline from Canada and Mexico. Build 40 refineries. Thats how you make it drop. But the EPA doesnt want this. We have not built a new refinery since 1978.

OPEC cannot afford to not have the US buy oil so you are correct that if we present ourselves and commuted to exploiting our domestic supplies OPEC will take notice. They did it before, they'll do it again.

But this time if they want us to purchase oil its gonna be on our terms not theirs. In other words if we buy oil from arab nations they must become a neutral federatist nation. In other words no dictatorship. Free elections with a parliament system like canada,Australia and england.
