child abuse or dinner plans?

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A woman who squirted hot sauce into the mouth of her adopted Russian son for lying about getting in trouble in school has been convicted of misdemeanor child abuse in what prosecutors said was a ploy to get on the "Dr. Phil" TV show.

Jessica Beagley, 36, made a videotape of how she punished the boy and submitted it to the show. The tape shows Beagley yelling at the crying boy, then tipping his chin up and pouring hot sauce in his mouth....

I think they should give the kid to the guy who took his 9 year old son out in a kayak and nabbed a shark the size of the kayak by letting it drag the kayak until it got tired. Surely there was never any chance of the child being in danger, and this guy is being lauded all over the news.

Of course I think I would have felt differently if the guy had used Dr. Phil for bait.....
