A blog comment recently characterized the Coffee Party as elitist liberals. This term seems odd to me since the term liberal and the word socialism that is often associated with it means sympathy for and identification with the working class.

Since the majority of corporate CEO's and their free-market Republican congressmen want to exploit labor and drain the working class of as much money and power as possible and give it all to corporate CEO's, it seems odd that a working person would call a liberal elitist.

But then perhaps the blog reply wasn't written by a working person. Perhaps it was written by a free-market Republican elitist who just wanted to spread propaganda about liberals.

Pretty obvious huh?

That's just another one of their dog & pony shows. It's common knowledge that the real elitists running Wall Street and most mega corporations grease the Republicants with big campaign donations and the Republicants try their hardest to make sure these big wigs can treat anybody anyway they want as deregulated as they can possibly push through.

Then the Republicants point at professors and other intellectuals along with labor who will never have one tenth the elitist life style of say the CEO of an ENRON, Goldman Sachs or United Healthcare and say those darn educated people and Union working folk are so darn elitist.

It's the old project your weakness over onto your opponent. Seems the only people that still fall for that BS like it's real are teabaggers.
