Seems like more of a CIA thing than NSA but not at all surprising. Im sure a number of others are doing it as well.

you still need to know what your friends are doing. Better to know if Israel was going to attack Iran without telling us, then read about it on CNN and then have to plan. Friend is a very relative term..If a friendly nations interest and ours are not the same....the are not just going to roll over and side with us against there own interest. Trust me , they all spy on us as well.
