The nine justices, like nearly half a million others in the government, are required to file financial disclosures. They are required, as of 2023, to disclose gifts worth more than $480 and before that, it was $415.

ProPublica reported that Thomas did not disclose two decades of gifts worth far more than that in the form of vacations, overnight stays, private jet trips and yacht cruises financed by longtime Thomas associate Harlan Crow.

Vought, a former White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director under former President Trump, accused Rep. Raskin of violating the Ethics in Government Act by neglecting to report his wife's earned income in his 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 financial disclosures.

"This failure is a clear violation of Raskin's reporting duties and also raises serious questions about further potential violations," the letter states. "Since Raskin did not see fit to disclose Reserve Trust as a source of income in 2017, it is unclear if he also failed to do so for subsequent years. It is possible that Reserve Trust compensated Mrs. Raskin with further shares for services rendered in subsequent years. Given Raskin’s approach to disclosure, the public would never know."

Yes, there is a difference. Raskin is a leftist Jewish Democrat and Thomas is a black Christian conservative. There is little doubt that Democrats will excuse all sorts of crimes and misdemeanors Raskin may have committed while simultaneously spending millions of American dollars and thousands of worker hours trying to dig up dirt with which to bury their hated opponent, The Honorable Justice Clarence Thomas.

Taking special privileged favours from wealthy businessmen who are in.line to make millions out of his decisions, the his big mouth ignorant wife pushing for Trump to be reinstated?

Only the ignorant or hypocritical would censure Justice Thomas while excusing dozens of dirty politicians who have gotten caught doing far worse.
