1. The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) nations have pledged to raise $600bn in private and public funds over five years to finance infrastructure in developing countries and counter China’s older, multitrillion-dollar Belt and Road project.

US President Joe Biden and other G7 leaders relaunched the newly renamed “Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment” on Sunday at their annual gathering being held this year at Schloss Elmau in southern Germany....

2. Those guys in the photo seem to have a funny smile. If they smiled sarcastically at the launch of the so-called $600bn infrastructure plan, they are forgiven for doing so because the White House incumbent has not even managed to build a single toilet for his grand domestic infrastructure plan since he assumed office.

It won't come as a surprise if the huge amount of money ends up in weapon development or building of more US military bases around the world. :)

It reminds me of the grand plans Trump had and failed to deliver one.

it won't be a surprise if republicans continue to block us infrastructure spending and instead it ends up on republican-favored military spending.
