The money spent by private parties to build and manufacture wealth also has to come out of the economy in one way or another. There is no such thing as free money, after all. Private industry is not always as efficient as it could be. You do have a point about government inefficiency, however.On the other hand, who but inefficient government is going to build highways, bridges, dams, and conduct wars? Imagine private capital doing any of the above.. well, maybe building dams, at least on private property.
