Milloy's close financial and organizational ties to tobacco and oil companies are well documented. Note also that, while enormously influential, the US ban did not immediately terminate global DDT use and that developing world malaria mortality increased over time, rather than instantly leaping to the estimated value of 2,700,000 deaths per year."
