I know what will fix the health insurance industry. Include prescription medical trade with Canada and Mexico. You realize prescription drugs are cheaper in Canada and in Mexico? Now if Obama allows Americans to buy prescription drugs from Canada and from Mexico youll see prices drop from drug companies. You can blame George Bush for this! Hes the one who signed into law to ban sales from buying prescription drugs from Canada. Now if Obama has any chance being Re-Elected he would undo Bushs laws. And Second allow Americans buy Health insurance by crossing state lines to bring plans down.

Its your state that determines your rates by what it requires insurers to cover. That's why basic ins for a family of 4 in Wisconsin is like 4k and in NY its 12.5. Companies already sell across state lines but they have to offer plans suitable to the state insurance board.

Now you can decide to relieve states of their right to govern this but do you really think the feds have a track record to support it ? The likelihood is that those in Wisconsin will wind up at 12.5 and not that the other 49 states would have access to 4k. Careful what you ask for.

If you are unhappy with Bush for rx then include Obama as he continued it.

Also note that Canada subsidizes which might not apply in your suggestion and Mexico, well lets just say every rx is a crap shoot regarding what you're ingesting.

But its clear that we need to rethink pharma regulation.
