Just this morning I made a decision to try again to shake up the GOP and return to the party of limited government and individual freedoms. I even reinstated my web site to update my new political point of view.

I am a refugee from California as the taxes were too high for me and located a safe retreat in Arizona that is now beginning to annoy me with its malaise.

I love the subject of politics and little can beat a good debate.

Hi Sandra, welcome. I also escaped what used to be California. My tendency to get more conservative as years went by is a direct result of what liberalism did to California. It's a very good example that kindness and opportunity are not appreciated by those who received it. Texas isn't ever going to be home, but the laws and economic envirement here make it a good place to be during these times of turmoil.

No O. Taxes in Arizona are lower than in California. It was hard for me to move as I was 3 generation and my kids 4th. I got old and my bones and joints also got old and I needed the desert dry heat.

I am a social liberal and I have no problem with others living a different lifestyle than my own. Hell, my kids when to Berkeley and came home Republicans.

I have no interest in the government telling me what eat, drink, smoke or inhale. If someone is gay, what is this to me? If this is what California does to people, then tell them not to move there.

Id be perfectly fine if the government would get the heck off all of our backs and just protect the dang borders and keep a strong defense

No O, we are in complete agreement. I know right from wrong and do not need the government to legislate a damn thing. You live in one of my favorite places. We used to head to Eurene for the music festival in July and then head for Ashland for the Shakespeare.

Hello Sandra, Most of my family have relocated to Kingman, from Cali. I definitely know what you mean. I am a staunch conservative from the great state of Montana. I agree with you and O on limiting government. Capitolism is what made this the greatest
country in 200 years. Compare that with Europe, socialism doesn`t work.
Rushhannity.
