I read this article (or a similar one) a while back. I have never been crazy about Eisenhower but he has to be given props here. Operation Wetback, offensive nomenclature aside, proved that we don't need to round up 11 million illegals at gunpoint as critics say, and it proved that such an operation need not be backbreaking, unbearable expensive, or unconstitutional.
