As a matter of fact Operation Wetback was, questionably, unconstitutional. Federals agents were given license to detain, search, and interrogate men and women already in the United States based only on their appearance and apparent ancestry. If you ask me that's a violation of the Fourth Amendment.Allowing it to continue unfettered would have set a very dangerous precedent in minority discrimination. Giving police the prerogative to assume that people in the United States are not US citizens (thereby having no rights protected by the Constitution) opens the door for a police-state.
