Hungary beats US in water polo wins gold

The Hungarians beat the United States 14-10 to win a third consecutive gold medal in men’s water polo.

Hungary became the first country to win three straight gold medals in the sport since Britain in 1920.

It was a good run for the US water polo team but like in so many other cases in this Olymics it was only good for second place.

Isn't water polo supposed to be Hungary's big sport? Wouldn't it be akin to China coming over and beating an NFL team in football if we had won the match?

Exactly - Hungary has won 1/3 of the water polo gold medals, and water polo is the national sport of hungary. Almost NOBODY plays water polo in the US, and yet we won the silver medal.
