Let's be honest and see.
I could go on & on about the laundry list of attacks and direct personal insults that your buddies on the Conservative side have been involved in trying to slam more Liberal posters over the years but that's common knowledge.
In fact when I first started posting here (coming from a real Gestapo for the rules forum) I eventually made an appeal to the Mods against the Conservatives. Their reply to me went something like this: Thick skin topgun. We are not going to become a politically correct forum.
That said I in my over 4000 posts found this give and take (venting if you will) a lot more enjoyable than the Mods jumping in on every negative word someone posts like some forums do. I see no benefit from stopping one from making a jab now and then, being sarcastic or making jokes about a position. It would ruin the forum to be so strict.
Now yes sometimes you get a Bob the builder or Saxon that is aggressively foul mouthed, threatening or likes to call out the Mods and they are warned and so on.
If you ask me this is what happened. There was a small group maybe 3 or 4 ultra Conservative Obama hating posters in here that led in the harshness category to other posters. This was completely unlike say Conservative Big Rob who would fight the Liberal positions to the end, but non-personally.
Then as the Conservatives started to be overcome due to the President being elected and some Conservatives tried that little "we'll go in and destroy the Liberals reputation points on every post". That was eventually caught and reputation had to be turned off.
So after all that I find it almost humorous the complaining. I will say this in fairness however. Many Conservative posters in here have lowered the level of meanness over the last few months.
I personally think things in here are very balanced.
