"Groups aligned with the conservative legal movement and its financial architect, Leonard Leo, are working to promote a publicly funded Christian school in Oklahoma, hoping to create a test case to change the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the First Amendment’s separation of church and state.

At issue is the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma’s push to create the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School, which would be the nation’s first
religious school entirely funded by taxpayers. The school received preliminary approval from the state’s charter school board in June. If it survives legal challenges, it would open the door for state legislatures across the country to direct taxpayer funding to the creation of Christian or other sectarian schools."

I do not support government funding of Christian schools like billion-dollar funding of Planned parenthood atrocities and the like. Let the crooks support dirty projects and leave their dirty hands off of Christian schools.

You mightn't support it but you're happy to take the support.

Christian schools cannot possibly educate children to truth and facts when teaching about non existent gods. It's a contradiction in terms.

Our Christian school does not take government handouts and does not teach secularist myths like evolution and global warming.

I'll ask again. Name me the school that you are certain about.

I know you won't because you cannot support your claim but here is proof they are subsidised. I accept your apology.

I will not name our school but I will identify those Christian schools, including ours, that the state of North Carolina sued for control over in the 1970s.

How is that relevant to school subsidies?
I'll bet everyone of them took money

Actually, that case was not the case I was thinking of in which thousands of us Christians showed up in Raleigh to make our voices heard. Our church pastor and school administrator worked with other pastors and school administrators to fight the state's class action lawsuit effort to strip our schools of the freedom to teach our kids from the Christian perspective. We lost the court case, but the state's win was short-lived because the pastors persuaded enough lawmakers to change the law, and so it remains until today.

History of Private School Regulation in North Carolina

by David Morgan, North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education

... The Strickland Commission hearings were a turning point in the history of the relation between the State and private schools in North Carolina because they marked the first mobilization of private schools in opposition to State regulation. The Reverend Kent Kelly, a pastor and school administrator in Southern Pines, “traveled over 5000 miles in two and a half weeks – from the mountains to the coast – visiting every Christian school in North Carolina to sound the alarm.”12 The Reverend Kelly, the Paul Revere of the Christian school revolution, and later to be a major leader in its legal and political battles, then appeared before the Strickland Commission with a petition “supported by 10,000 signatures seeking relief from any connection with public education and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.”13 As the Reverend Kelly later put it, “The Lord gave the victory and the State backed down – but only temporarily.” 14

Don't be stupid. Fundamentalist Christian schools do not take government money because Christians know the government requires submission to their authority to get money and that will never happen.

Again, not one school can survive without it.
You simply will not admit your school is sucking ion the govt tit like the rest.
Isn't socialism good.

Government aid comes with government strings, whether it goes directly to a school or directly to its students. To avoid these strings, a school must decline aid both to itself and to its students. That is, it must decline to participate in government-sponsored student loan and grant programs.

Most of the schools on the list refuse not only federal but also state and local government aid.

The list only includes traditional bricks-and-mortar institutions (no online or purely digital entities).
