Obama spoke there today for political reasons.

Before he did, the pastor said how proud he was
of Obama's performance.

The pastor also took a mean, verbal swipe at the previous
administration, from the pulpit. Obama looked down while he did.

The pastor said and I'm paraphrasing slightly but it was political.

- "since it took eight years for the previous administration to
screw things up, we ought to have more patience than a year for the president to fix things."

Hmm, politics from the pulpit, Rev. Wright style.

Obama hasn't changed his religion after all!

was that ever in question ?
will anyone call for this institution to lose non-profit status ?

no & no...

Another meaningless thread that blames our President for going to church because someone else said something they didn't like.

It's hard for me to distinguish if it's the President's fault for going to church or if it's the pastors fault for telling the truth.

It's a real brain teaser.

Well, going with the limited information in the original post, I would say it is not entirely fair to say that the pastor was telling the truth. ;)

The sad part of Obama's speech was how he stressed that government can
right all the problems in our country. The congregation was nodding in agreement.

It is actually Obama's and other government official intervention that has caused most all the
problems in the US. The housing debacle for example was created by Barney Frank, Chris Dodd
and members of the Black Congressional Congress.

The US is in serious trouble with Obama in charge.
He believes growing government is the only way to proceed.

Fair enough I guess that could be a personal interpretation thing.

But still it's hard for me to see how someone else expressing their own opinion could somehow be the President's fault. I mean you might have lunch with me but I doubt that means you agree with everything I say.

SIDEBAR: Now if it does... by all means let's have lunch!:D
