Why do so many American leftist politicians not see the truth about Islam?
Could it be they are on the same team?

Why do so many American leftist politicians not see the truth about Islam?

they feel we have it coming. I'm thinking its heading to the last crusade.
If what the Terrorists wanted was to terrorize us, then they have already won, for today America is living in fear, and the Hypocrisy of talking about reconciliation and right of religion and equality does not hide that fact.
When a bunch of Bibles are burned in an Islamic country, is okay because they are Islamic, when a few Christians are killed or abused or their rights violated in an Islamic country, is not a bid deal, if an Islamic government puts a bunch of Americans in prison because they are Christians, then we move to reasonable diplomatic negotiation, not to offend their religious beliefs,
When our women travel to an Islamic State they have to submit to their barbaric beliefs and traditions or risk imprisonment and even death, yet when an Islamic person comes to America he can proclaim his rights and export those same barbaric beliefs and traditions into our world, and we are fine with that. Does that make any sense?
Yasser Arafat, a well known extremist from the Middle East, said a few years ago that Islam will impose its power in the world without a war in just a few years; today we are seeing the truth of those words right in our soil.
Crazy or not, that Pastor from Florida said a significant truth in one of his interviews, when will we put our foot down, how far will they go before we do something about it.
I am proud to be an American, for Americans have a heart for freedom and a pride for country, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; But beyond all of that I am a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ and I have an especial admiration for American History, for it was forged on the principals of fundamental Christianity.
Today America is slowly walking away form its foundation, and unless the government and politicians open their eyes and start taking serious action, it will not be long before some stranger comes in and impose a new set of rules.
America's Christian values and Biblical foundation on which its constitution and declaration of independence were based are being slowly melted into a strange blend of "tolerant legislations"
What I always loved about America is slowly fading away, Patriotism, Identity, and sheer strength. We cann ot let it go any further ,American's need to speak out, cast your vote, Legislate, and stop this insanity which is turning America into a toy for the "Radical Muslims" to play with...
Look at our flag America, look an our anthem, look at your heroes, and look at the history of those thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives in the front lines in foreign countries to defend the greatness of this nation.We need to turn back to being who we were, for our strength is not in our weapons our Armies or in our foreign policies, it is in the heart of our men and women, it is in the courage of those who historically fought against all odds to make us who we are today...

Liberalism has given America much. Most of it bad. Thanks to it we have a nation of fools who believe in political correctness and multiculturalism to such an extent, that we fail to recognize the enemy. These fools will quickly condemn Christians, but ignore the horrific acts committed by Muslims. Many on the Left are aligned with radical Islam.
Thanks the liberal institution know as the public school, many young Americans have been taught to hate or despise their country, many know nothing of our history, and many have been brainwashed to believe Socialism is better than individual liberty and capitalism.
Islam is as Islam does. Just as Christianity is as Christianity does. So, Muslims murder in cold blood in the name of Islam somewhere in the world every day. Commonsense would dictate there is a problem with Islam. But, in the Age if Ignorance (aka Age of Liberalism), instead of recognizing the problem, many seek to condemn anyone who speaks of the problem.

Prime example..Do you remember when the Pope quoted Paleologos? And the crap hit the fan..
No one forced Benedict to quote Paleologos in the first place, but he did. That set a course of events in motion, and these events will have a significant impact on the church for centuries. It was no incidental thing, and I said so at the time.
The fact is that Paleologos was right. But, if you don't have the courage to say so, then don't say so, because you're only going to hurt yourself in the process.
It's kind of like Iraq. I was against going in to Iraq in the first place, and I knew the American people lacked the will to see it through. I said so way back when. Going into Iraq, and then pulling out because you lack the will, is far worse than never going in the first place, because it tells your enemy that you can be beaten.
Same thing here. If you're going to quote Paleologos, then have the will and the courage to see it through. But, if you're going to quote him, and then, at the first sign of trouble, back off and actually apologize no less, then you were better off never quoting him in the first place, because all you've done is signal to the enemy that you can be beaten.
So, in the space of that year, Islam learned that it can beat the United States and the Pope, because both have signalled their lack of will. So, who's winning and who's losing?
Not bad for one year. They've been at it for 1,300 years. Goes to show you what you can accomplish with a little patience.
And one other thing: Christ said, "love thine enemy," and this seems to be misunderstood by virtually everyone. First, you have all the people who simply don't believe it - and that is the vast majority of people, including all Muslims. For most people, you love your family and friends, and hate your enemy.
But, then you have the people who think that it means, "deny that they are your enemy, and love them instead." Well, no, that's not what he said. If that's what he meant, that's what he would have said.
Then, there's the touchy-feely, manipulative spin put on this by the secular humanists: "Love your enemy, and you will make them your friend."
No, he didn't say that either. He's not talking about a quid pro quo. There are no strings attached. This love, like all true love, is unconditional. Christ is saying that they may very well be your enemy forever, but love them anyway.
So when Benedict went to go to Turkey to meet with the Muslims, and if he was willing to say, "Islam is evil, and the people who practice it have, themselves, declared that they are the enemy of all peoples who are not Muslim, and they have appointed themselves as executioners for their so-called god; yet, despite the evil that they do, I love them, anyway, and I pray that one day they, too, will know this kind of love, which is the real God's real gift to them, and not this violence and suffering that Satan has managed to convince them is pleasurable," then I will say that Benedict is a great man and a good Catholic.

But, some American liberals believe there is no difference between Islam and Christianity. And, they fail to recognize the outrageous and evil intolerance in the Muslim world, while at the same time condemning Christianity.

Let's not mix apples and oranges here. As far as I am concerned, certain Muslims in Muslim countries want to follow their own religion as they feel is proper. That's fine with me. If they feel like killing a 14-year-old girl for adultery that is their business. Mohammad said don't commit adultery, as did Moses in the 10 Commandments. Some places in he world are still not as civilized as Western countries. It has been going on for a long time, and it is not likely to change soon.
The second half of the story is when Muslims terrorize Western countries. That is a problem. Osama bin Ladin knew the Western character, especially the US. He knew the US would over-react by going ballistic in the use of our military and taking action that would seriously demoralize and frighten the US Population. Suddenly we are involved in two wars against Muslim countries, plus many of our basic freedoms were removed by Congress with the Patriot Act, creation of Homeland Security, etc.
In one act of terrorism Bin Ladin has thrown the US into a state of perpetual fear, and perpetual anger against Muslims. If we would have gone into Afghanistan, taken out Bin Ladin, and come home, we would not have so many problems today.
I don't understand how this is a Liberal vs. Conservative issue. Thanks to our over-reaction to 9/11, every screwy Muslim hates Americans and visa versa. So why are we surprised when a Muslim shoots at a bus load of American soldiers in Germany? I understand why a fundamentalist Muslim from Kosovo can work himself into a frenzy and start shooting US soldiers - maybe he lost family when NATO bombed the country during the Clinton Administration. The question that sticks in my mind is why were we concerned with that conflict? Oh, yea, another humanitarian mission. Why do we have troops in Germany?
It is about time we had a major change in attitude. If something is happening in the world, and it is not a security threat to the US, then let's stay at home and mind our own business. If Muslims want to kill Muslims, like in Libya, it is none of our business.
