They have insisted so long that "Nobody is illegal", in their attempts to pretend illegal aliens aren't breaking the law, that now that is the result. It get humorous sometimes, when they forget that normal people aren't on the same delusional track they are.
It's the natural extension of the liberal agenda. Good is bad, theft is freedom, privileges are rights, and illegal is legal.
