Yes I agree it is disgusting, to say McCain is past his prime is putting it nicely. You have to remember that the vast majority of Americans are either Democrats or independents., most of us don't buy into the right wing propaganda. That said, there's really no excuse for electing a man like George Bush twice.Putting it simply, I really see two reasons for such a mistake...one, many American voters are ignorant, they often vote against their interests allowing negative campaign ads or even outright lies to influence their vote. Secondly, the red states are dragging the country down. It's no wonder they vote Republican, as they generally consist of bigoted, poorly educated individuals.
