The republican paranoia hawks have taken aim at Tik Tok. They interrogated some Chinese CEO with venom and insinuations that would make a whore blush.
There's the usual accusations because it's Chinese owned there must be some espionage related skullduggery. There's no evidence of it but heck, needle those rice burners at ever chance.
The real problem is the massive amounts of advertising they have taken disguised as spying and tracking personal information.
Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, all do exactly the same. Amazon don't sell products. They sell information including to the Chinese but erupt with vitriolic bike when it could be reciprocated. Heaven forbid those Chinese got under our guard.
It's even been suggested this could develop into cyber attacks and indoctrinate kids on the evils of religion, still with no evidence of course. But play on the republican godbotherers fears it might happen.
These things will never happen nowadays but it is allowed by the NRA and the gunnuts to allow the slaughter of 35000 and innocent kids every year and accept it as collateral damage. Could the Chinese come here and slaughter that many and no retaliation? Of course not so why do we do it to ourselves.
The fabric of humanity and a great country is being undermined by paranoia and lies. The GOP have taken up where Trump left off by frightening the punters that some catastrophic Chinese plot is about to happen. They are all still snorting snot not being able to punish them over the virus. But the killing goes on and hardly a muffled bleat from those responsible. But don't let those Chinese in.
