Here is something that might inspire the dwindling Occupiers to return to their tents: While our very own Nancy Pelosi was pushing to extend unemployment benefits that will, ideally, keep Spam on the tables of the 99 percent -- and provide a boatload of jobs! -- the San Francisco Democrat has risen to become the ninth-richest member of Congress.

Pelosi has consistently expressed her support for the polemical Occupy Movement, making statements like "God Bless the 99 percent." But we don't need Pelosi's spoken support. We need her money!

According to the Center For Responsive Politics, our San Francisco reps have a total net worth of greater than $310 million. That includes Pelosi's whopping net worth of $196,299,990; Sen. Dianne Feinstein's $93,707,020; and Congresswoman Jackie Speier, who is the 31st-richest rep, with a net worth of $20,527,999.

Meanwhile, Senator Barbara Boxer is valued at a little more than $5 million.

Who's the richest member of Congress? That'd be California's Darrell Issa (R-Vista), who's worth more than $700 million. And the poorest sod on the hill? Alcee Hastings (D, Florida) is millions in the red. Poor Alcee, he's living off coupons, just like the rest of us.

To quote Pelosi during a recent speech about economic inequality: "Something is wrong with this picture below"

Well,,well,,hypocrisy from the left. Why are OWS protesters protesting at Banks and Bankers homes instead of Pelosi and Feinstein offices? Why arent they yelling and disrupting democrats when they speak? They rather disrupt the IOWA caucus.

Not that I have any trouble with someone making a buck but using political privilige to so so is illegal.
Not necessarily... Insider trading laws do not apply to members of Congress. For example, a few months back Pocket posted a thread railing against "capitalism" because a drug company was granted a government approved monopoly for a specific drug. Any of the politicians who knew the company would get this very lucrative monopoly could purchase a boatload of that company's stock prior to the announcement. After the decision goes public, the stock value triples and the politician(s) make a killing through use of insider trading... A practice that's illegal for the rest of us but not illegal for the people who make the rules.

but its illegal to exempt her husband's tuna business from regulation.

when, as with Pelosi, it has been shown that she had contact with legislation that makes her money, we all should care.

Can you run the House and not have contact with anything you could make money off?
Do you think Bush and Dick made money off there oil connections both in and after the white house?
Do you think Newt never made money off his work as Speaker?

Its funny when someone says get the money out of DC, the right crys free speech and all that...But when its a liberal all of the sudden they start to care more.

Clinton made deals in Iraq?

Also I see you did not address that little link showing your attack on nancy was wrong.

Clinton renewed the pre-bid contract that Halliburton had been awarded previously not supposed to do this but he did anyway supposed to get rebid periodically). It is not specific to Iraq, its for rapid fulfillment for Pentagon needs.

OK I'll take Pelosi off the list for that.
