There are certainly some people among the Israelis and the Palestinians that would like to exterminate the other. But neither could possibly even come close. It does not matter how long a person or a group of persons (a say Arabs) have a dimwitted idea: dimwitted ideas can go on forever.

The only peaceful solution to Palisrael is (1) lock up anyone on either side that wants to assassinate the leaders of the opposition (or their own leader) to divvy up the real estate; (2) then divvy up the real estate.
