Ridiculous! Coal is dead. . .and most of the coal is used for electricity, no longer to heat homes! And we already have cheaper, better alternatives for everyone. . .
You seem to be a little myopic in your view of "pricing" of coal! Coal is not cheap when it had cost us so much in health, in environmental disasters, in death!
Fraking is not much better and is ALSO dangerous! The only people who benefit from both coal and fraking are the big business, who do not care how many people die from working in the mines, and do not care about poisoned water, and do not care about the environment (because they live far away from the sites!!!). And, with Trump removing so many protective regulations, they will care even less about their workers and the environment!

By the way, meat was also cheaper in the beginning of the 20th century, when meat workers worked in terrible conditions, on meat that was often not safe to eat! Thank God for whistle blower who wrote "the Jungle," and for those activists who showed the road to better regulations!
