On a somewhat unrelated note this paragraph struck me as a new insight:Marxists and their descendants in the progressive movement are incapable of acknowledging the value of management. Their ideological blinders require them to insist that those who take responsibility for management are exploiters, seizing the "surplus value" created by workers. If management has value, then Marxism is dead wrong. That cannot be admitted by true believers.Marxism is both dependent upon a centralized state that manages everything and at the same time the theory is dependent on the concept that people are not, perhaps cannot, manage things well. Is this a central flaw in the theory. All marxism does is change one set of bosses for another with zero reason to think that they could ever do a better job of management and plenty of reason to know that they will do a worse job.
