Now that socialized medicine has been turned back, the Obama administration will be casting about for a new way to impose socialism on the country. Here's his most frequent visitor's suggestion for how to do it: make the 12 million (plus) illegal aliens who walked across the border, legal by fiat, because most of them will probably vote Democrat.

Fair warning: These people never stop trying to turn the U.S. into yet another socialist nation.

Obama adviser: Amnesty to ensure 'progressive' rule
'Imagine 8 million new voters who care about our issues?'

Granting citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants would expand the "progressive" electorate and help ensure a "progressive" governing coalition for the long term, declared a recent adviser to President Obama whose union group is among the most frequent visitors to the White House.

"We reform the immigration laws, it puts 12 million people on the path to citizenship and eventually voters," stated Eliseo Medina, international executive vice-president of Service Employees International Union, or SEIU.

Medina was speaking at a June 2009 Washington conference for the liberal "America's Future Now!".

Medina said that during the presidential election in November 2008, Latinos and immigrants "voted overwhelmingly for progressive candidates. Barack Obama got two out of every three voters that showed up."

"Can you imagine if we have, even the same ratio, two out of three? Can you imagine 8 million new voters who care about our issues and will be voting? We will be creating a governing coalition for the long term, not just for an election cycle."

The SEIU is closely linked to the controversial Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. SEIU President Andrew Stern was the most frequently logged White House visitor, according to an official list released in October.

Bush Administration Misleads Public on Illegal Immigration, Docs Show background
bush-pentagon-2004.jpg

On January 7, 2004 President Bush floated a trial balloon policy to address illegal immigrants in a speech to the nation from the East room of the White House. Under the president’s proposed “temporary worker program,” as described in his speech, illegal immigrants already in the United States would be allowed to remain and would be provided with a three-year work permit. After the permit expired, the “temporary worker” would then be able to apply for a renewal. Critics, including Judicial Watch, charged that the Bush administration was effectively establishing an “amnesty” program for illegals, and that it would lead to a spike in the number of individuals attempting to cross into the United States. After the January 7 speech, Border Patrol agents began to question illegal immigrants caught crossing the border in order to determine if were trying to get across because of the president’s proposal. Once early results indicated that, indeed, the “temporary worker program” led to an influx of new illegal crossings, the Bush administration shut the survey down and instructed border patrol agents not to discuss its preliminary findings. Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request in February 2004, and recently acquired the surveys, along with a disturbing U.S. Customs and Border Patrol document, the contents of which follow:
Excerpt

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, White House Approved Talking Points, Temporary Worker Program – INTERNAL USE ONLY.

“Do not speculate about the program.”
“Do not talk about amnesty, increase in apprehensions, or give comparisons of past immigration reform proposals.
“Do not provide statistics on apprehension spikes or past amnesty data.”
Relevance:
Despite public statements to the contrary, the Bush administration clearly had concerns that their “temporary worker program” would be perceived by illegal immigrants to represent amnesty and lead to an increase in border crossings. This document effectively orders Border Patrol agents and other Department of Homeland Security officials to mislead, through omission, the public about the negative impact of the Bush proposal on illegal immigration and to withhold information from the American people.

The battle for the hispanic vote is not rew. They've been the fastest growing demographic for some time now.

Bush knew this and took a stab at buying those votes. He even campaigned on it. No reason anyone should have been surprized about it.

But what a novel idea...send those buses out into the inner city areas that are poor/destitute/Hispanic populated and provide them a 'FREE BUS RIDE' to the voting booths...worked really well for Georgie even during his run for governor of Texas...his campaign manager was a genius!

Don't know that anyone checked for photo ID's back then...but my Mexican brother in-law earned some nice cash for his church by busing the Hispanics to & from many locations during little Georgies run for Governor...BRILLIANT CAMPAIGN MANAGER!

So you just lob this business of illegals out there as if it were fact?
