Hoffman died from an apparent overdose. He was found with a needle in his arm, and 50 glassine bags of heroin in the house.

Who is it that wants to stop the War on Drugs again?

You can argue about the execution, but I don't think you can seriously argue about the intent.

Some would argue that Hoffman had a disease, that he is the victim.

He wasn't - he got exactly what he deserved because he was weak. He was off drugs for 23 years, and went back ... that takes a conscious decision, even when he knew the perils.

You shouldn't mourn him ... but you damn well should pity him.
