Ok for years now there has been not so well known debate about whether the pill is an abortifacent or if it is simply a contraception.

Planned Parenthood has maintained that it stop conception from occuring and does not cause abortions.

Those in the pro-life movement who have claimed that it does cause abortions have been marginalized even by other pro-lifers, ridiculed, and generally said not to have evidence for their claims.

Here is just one example of a statement from Planned Parenthood that they have said all along:

"Dr. Vanessa Cullins of Planned Parenthood says that the pills inhibit the production of eggs or stop the sperm before they reach their destination. “There is absolutely no direct evidence that there is interference with with implantation,” she said."

OK, nothing new there. But recently I was reading a story about the Mississippi pro-life amendment designed to define personhood as from conception that did not pass and I read this:

"In a statement afterward Planned Parenthood said: “Mississippi voters rejected the so-called ‘personhood’ amendment because they understood it is government gone too far, and would have allowed government to have control over personal decisions that should be left up to a woman, her family, her doctor and her faith, including keeping a woman with a life-threatening pregnancy from getting the care she needs, and criminalizing everything from abortion to common forms of birth control such as the pill and the IUD.”

So according to planned parenthood if life begins from conception then the pill would have to be banned? The only way this could be true is if they know that the pill kills embryos after conception and is not only a contraception.

Not that it is shocking that the pill kills embryos after conception to anyone willing to look. After all, Food and Drug Administration–approved contraceptive drugs and devices act to prevent pregnancy in one or more of three major ways: by suppressing ovulation, by preventing fertilization of an egg by a sperm or by inhibiting implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterine lining.

When people don't understand hard to figure out truths that is one thing, but when organizations like planned parenthood get away with lying for so long that is another.
