First I am pro gun, I could care less if you want to have a semi auto rifle..or feel some urge that you need a handgun to protect yourself....

I also know that by having a gun, your actually more likely to be killed by a gun then someone without on ( statistically...clearly some specific cases exist where this may no be the case)

Yes you have the right to defend yourself in no law enforcement is around...of course oddly I don't live in the world of fear some do where I feel I have to have a gun with at all times to be safe from the bad guys..Even if I am in some back ally and some guy pulls a gun on me for my wallet...and I am strapped...I am going to just give him the wallet...and being that I am not a drug dealer or anything with people out to kill me...I do just fine with no gun...oddly.

No bad people would not give up there guns...of course if a cop found one with one on them, its a easy way to lock them up for a few years...
