I can appreciate what your saying.  Sadly in this day and time there are quite a few random acts of violence and I would never use my pistol unless it was absolutely necessary.  I agree there are idiots that elevate situations into worse situations by flashing something they have no idea how to use.  All that said I guess I just have a hard time supporting this law in a state where there is so much criminal activity.
